16 Gardens in and around the Helderberg basin will be open to the public on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October, 09h00 to 16h00, to benefit Helderberg Hospice. A spring garden showcase not to be missed. Our focus this year is again on water wise, indigenous gardens and the Open Gardens will feature an array of innovative ways that garden owners are making use of to cope with the drought. Included in this year’s special gardens is an Eco House that is self-sufficient.

The proceeds of ticket sales will go towards raising funds for the hospice in Somerset West.  Helderberg Hospice provides care to people facing the challenge of a life-threatening illness.  Founded in 1986 and one of the first hospices in South Africa, the hospice serves the needs of the Helderberg community.

The Helderberg basin consists of Somerset West, Strand and Gordons Bay and is a wine-producing area in the Western Cape. Surrounded by majestic mountains and nature reserves, the area is known for its beauty, fauna and flora.

Sales open on Spring Day, the 1st of September 2019.  Tickets are available for purchase from Helderberg Hospice’s offices in Old Stellenbosch Road. Ticket prices: Adults R90 per person; Kids (2-12) R45 per child; Kids (0-2) for free.
