DNA results have confirmed that the body found burnt in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain, belongs to 29-year-old Donelle “Mishka” Links.
Her remains were discovered at the corner of AZ Berman Drive and Hugenote Street on Saturday, 17th of October.
Police say two men have been charged with her murder. Both suspects remain behind bars after being denied bail.
The case returns to the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court next month, on the 17th of November.
A SECOND BODY FOUND BURNT IN TAFELSIG
A second burnt body has been discovered in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain, in less than two weeks.
Police say the unidentified man’s body was found in the boot of a burning vehicle in Honolulu Street on Tuesday night.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says the body was burnt beyond recognition:
Police have not confirmed if there is any link between the two cases.
Tafelsig Ward Councillor Norman Adonis urged people to remain vigilant.
