Provincial Mobility Minister Isaac Sileku and the City’s Rob Quintas met with taxi bodies SANTACO and CODETA today.

CATA did not attend.

The province says it is pursuing an inquiry into alleged violations by taxi associations, and an urgent court bid on operating rights.

The City, meanwhile, has promised to keep a strong law-enforcement presence in affected areas.

A further meeting, including CATA, is planned for Monday.
