The Constitutional Court has delivered a significant ruling against the DA-led City of Cape Town and the Western Cape government in the long-running Tafelberg case.
The case centred on the sale of the Tafelberg property in Sea Point, which activists argued should have been used for affordable inner-city housing rather than sold to a private buyer.
Crowds gathered at the Sea Point Methodist Church to celebrate the judgment, calling it a milestone for spatial justice in Cape Town.
