The Hawks have arrested a 42-year-old man after uncovering an alleged illegal Med-Lemon manufacturing lab in Rondebosch.
The Hawks and the SAPS Flying Squad discovered machinery believed to be used to manufacture the sachets, along with boxes of Med-Lemon, during an operation on Friday.
The man has been charged with contravening the Medicines Control Act and is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi says the value of the seized Med-Lemon is still unknown.
