The Muslim Judicial Council says it is Haraam, or forbidden for Muslims to vote for parties complicit in the killing of innocent people.
The MJC made the statement in a fatwa or ruling after a question was posed to the body.
It also say that this also applies to any party that endorses or justifies it as well.
Their jurist, Mufti Yaseen Abbas says that the preservation of life is of utmost importance in Islam.
The ruling comes as some parties have come under fire for their silence or neutral stance on conflicts, including in Palestine and Israel.
