Western Cape Police are probing one of its own, over derogatory remarks made by a George officer in a video online.
In it, the cop says that he had been preparing to go to the Rosedal Voting Station – to prevent “baboons” from interfering with election processes.
Many people expressed outrage over the comments.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Christopher Spies says the alleged actions of the officer are unacceptable.
