The IEC confirms that 217 voting stations in Cape Town have not opened on time.

Nearly 300-thousand people are set to cast their ballots in the special voting period today and tomorrow.

IEC Western Cape says there was an unforeseen delay in the delivery of ballot papers to some areas in the Cape Metro.

Provincial Electoral Officer Micheal Hendrickse apologised for any inconvenience caused, and assured that voting in the outer regions are running smoothly.
