Two senior National Coloured Congress members have resigned just days before Wednesday’s municipal elections.
They include the party’s Saldanha Bay mayoral candidate, Yumnah Stevens, who says she is leaving politics to pursue a career in law.
Her resignation follows that of NCC councillor Dean Goliath, who has joined the breakaway One Love Alliance.
Goliath says he left after becoming frustrated with the party’s leadership, accusing it of ignoring his election strategies.
NCC leader Fadiel Adams says he was at Stevens’ house for supper last night, and wished both members well in their future endeavours…
