Police in KuGompo City have opened an inquest docket following a fatal shark incident at Orient Beach this morning.
The police’s Siphokazi Mawisa says officers responded to the scene at around 7am, where they found the victim with open wounds.
The 65-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo City Metro has closed Orient and Eastern beaches until further notice and urged members of the public to remain vigilant.
