Political analyst Dr. Levy Ndou says MK Party’s recent by-election wins in the Western Cape prove it can win outside KZN.
He says those historic wins showed MKP can infiltrate traditional ANC and DA areas and that it has the machinery to contest nationally.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party won a seat, previously held by the African National Congress , in the Saldanha municipality, in the Western Cape during by-elections in early March.
Dr. Ndou links those by-election victories to MKP’s current surge with just under two weeks to go to the 2026 LGE, saying the party is now scaling that winning strategy to become official opposition in Cape Town.
