A motorist has been arrested for drunk driving after allegedly trying to escape City officers during a sunset park-off in Sea Point.
The Ghost Squad tried to stop the driver of a BMW on Sunday for reckless driving, but he sped off.
He later lost control in Green Point and sideswiped another vehicle.
The City says a breathalyser test showed he was more than three times over the legal alcohol limit.
His car was impounded, along with two other vehicles found without number plates.
