Two more people have died following the shooting in Katlehong, in Ekurhuleni, last night.
This brings the death toll to four.
The victims aged 23 and 27 succumbed to their gunshot injuries in hospital. Three others remain in recovery.
One suspect is in custody.
The police said:
“It is alleged that the victims were coming from a memorial service for a member of a political party held at Mogobeng Primary School when a man opened fire on them.”
