Crime-accused businessman Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala will learn his fate in July.
On Wednesday, the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court rejected his plea and sentence agreement.
Magistrate Ignatius du Preez described the proposed 8-year prison sentence as unjust, and proposed a 12-year prison term instead.
Now the State and Matlala’s defence have to return to court to reconsider the terms of the deal.
